What is a furnace?

Furnaces heat up our homes during the winter, but do you know how they work? In the simplest terms, a furnace raises the temperature within your home by adding heat and reducing humidity in an indoor space.

How much is a furnace in Ontario?

On average, a new furnace will cost Ontario homeowners approximately $4,000 – $8,000. There are furnaces that can be significantly more expensive! Talk with one of our Home Comfort Specialists to determine the size and technology for your needs.

What size furnace do I need?

Numerous different factors determine the furnace you need! Your ceiling, windows, doors, and home seal all impact your air conditioner. To create an estimate, use the formula of 30 BTu for each square foot within your home.

Is a furnace good for my health?

A properly set up and maintained furnace is great for your respiratory health. A furnace will filter our dirty air that includes allergens, dust mites, pollutants, and other volatile organic compounds that are invisible to the naked eye.
